[boxer lovers] Re: Bitting and Heat Cycle--Ashley A

Hi Yvonne,

Thank you that was very helpful. She is finally starting to know what "no" means and when we say come here she listens. She has lots of toys. I have been giving her the chew bones also. She loves them! We go back to the vet July 12th for more puppy shots. I will ask our vet then about her going into heat.

Ashley

As for her heat cycle it can happen as early as 5 monthes or as late as a year and it usually lasts 3 weeks, best to follow your vets recommendations about how early to get her fixed.

But when we are playing she wants to bite our hands or whatever she can. Not on purpose but I guess she thinks she is playing. But her teeth are so sharp, it hurts! What can we do to prevent this problem and to teach her not to do this? And also when should I expect her to have her first heat? I don't know a whole lot about that part.
