Their owner is in jail and cannot help them.  They are both neutered and were left at the veterinarian's for weeks--
the vet did all their care and they are in great shape.  They were loved and are wonderful!
They are very well mannered and know commands.  They can be separated as they have been separated before.

"Euthanasia means "good death", a death free of pain and stress. It is often incorrectly used to mean simply killing an animal by any means - even in gas chambers.

A Letter From Our CEO

A message to the members of our Aquarium family.
National Aquarium
We have been overwhelmed and inspired by the expressions of support and concern from those in our Aquarium community, like you, and from people across the city and around the country.

Since opening in 1981, the National Aquarium has taken great pride in its role as a cultural hub in the heart of Baltimore's Inner Harbor, sharing the wonders of the aquatic world with generations of members and guests. In the weeks ahead, we will remain focused on supporting our community and motivating those who walk through our doors to appreciate and protect our natural world.

Throughout this difficult time for our great city, our staff has been caring for our animals around the clock, demonstrating in every way their service and commitment to their city and their Aquarium. Though our location on the Inner Harbor is far from the affected areas, we are thankful to the fire fighters, police and other law enforcement professionals who are working to keep our city safe.

We have returned to our regular operating hours, with one exception. On Friday, May 1, we will start our popular Half-Price Friday Nights at 3 pm, two hours earlier than usual, with our last guests admitted at 6 pm. We are making this change in order to provide the best opportunity for guests to visit while adhering to the citywide curfew of 10 pm. We anticipate returning to normal Friday hours by May 8.

I want to assure you that we will continue to coordinate with city and state officials in the days ahead. The continued safety of our guests, staff and animals is our highest priority. For updates to operating hours, please visit aqua.org.

We will be opening Living Seashore, our newest exhibit, as planned on May 12. We look forward to sharing this exciting new Aquarium experience with you soon.

Again, thank you for your expressions of support and concern. It is at a time like this that we also see the best that is in us, and I am proud of our staff and volunteers, whose dedication and commitment to the Aquarium have already helped us to navigate this challenging time and move forward with our mission to inspire conservation of the world's aquatic treasures.

Sincerely,
National Aquarium
