don't know if it works for ticks but i tried for misquitos and it worked
...almond extract !!!

I put Frontline on my boxer, and the next day she had a tick latched on, then
the day after that, she had another one latched on. She also had a couple that
hadnt bit down yet. I live in west central minnesota and the ticks are really
bad right now. What else can i do to protect her. She had lymes as a baby and
got really sick, i hate to see her get sick again.
