Cougar to be Released Tomorrow!
Cougar, a longtime resident of National Aquarium Animal Rescue, will finally make his return to the wild tomorrow. The Kemp's ridley sea turtle spent 21 months in our rehabilitation facility after he was admitted on November 26, 2013, with pneumonia, infected shell fractures and a joint infection in his front flipper.
It's only through the generous support of donors that we're able to rehabilitate and release animals like Cougar. These contributions enable us to provide the highest quality of care for sick and injured sea turtles and seals rescued from marine habitats along the East Coast.
Help us reunite Cougar with his natural habitat! Consider donating to the National Aquarium to support our incredible programs and make a positive impact on our blue planet.
