(Greensboro Area NC) Shadow has gone from the wobbles to dragging both rear legs he still has deep pain but it's only a matter of time if we cannot get some help with this guy.  I have said over and over I am willing to foster the dog but I cannot afford to foot the surgery and medical bills so if someone has idea's now would be a great time for you to share!!!  If we cannot get him placed or get some help with his medical through a group or whatever the decision to have him PTS will have to be made.  I still think he stands a good chance for rehab in a dachshunds savvy foster home who has dealt with this before.   Please Help!!!!   Jennifer Abersold HMystDox@aol.com  THIS IS JENNIFER'S PRIOR EMAIL ASKING FOR HELP!  PLEASE READ:: THE OWNERS BROUGHT THIS BABY INTO THE VET'S OFFICE IN A 9X13 CAKE PAN WITH A TOWEL ASKING TO EUTHANIZE***THEY COULD NOT DO IT...HE IS STILL AT THE VET'S OFFICE BUT THE SITUATION NOW IS CRITICAL****UNLESS HE GETS HELP, THEY WILL HAVE TO EUTHANIZE****HE WAS SAVED FROM THAT FATE LAST WEEK***CAN'T ANYONE SAVE HIM NOW???  Shadow is a 5-7yr old smooth male currently in Greensboro NC (at my vets house)... he is currently experiences some back problems (drunken sailor) and is on crate rest etc. He has not been neutered, he was not on HW prevention the owners brought him in in a 9x13 cake pan with a towel in it to put him to sleep because they said they co...uldn't afford to pay for the treatment for his back ... steroids, pain meds etc. I have contacted all the major rescue groups and several all breeds and no one has gotten back in touch with me except Almost Home who will only provide a $50 grant to me if I foster him... I cannot afford to pay for his medical bills on top of the ones for my crew so.... we need a "dachshund smart" place that can provide for him.
