Re: [boxer lovers] Hello

I've had both breeds.  Nadia, my last GSD was an old gal of 17 when I had to put
her down.  She was raised with my kids and was probably the smartest dog I've
ever had.  My boxer girls now are also great smart girls.  My elder Ellie was
great with my grandkids the first time they came to visit.  She ended up
sleeping with them every night they were here. They haven't been to visit since
Harley has been born, but I'm sure she would be just has gentle with them.

I'd have to say boxer I've had two and they are fantastic with children of all
ages I've got 2yr old twins and my boxer is so gentle and loving towards them
when they were newborn he would sit by their cribs he always with them playing
he even let's them take his toys out his mouth !! He doesn't mind them when he
is eating either. When I was younger my father had gsd and he ended up rehoming
when his new baby was born because he kept growling at him I'm not saying they
are bad dogs I just don't think you can get a better family dog than a boxer :)

Thanks for the advice, I think like humans it is more of the actual dog then the
breed I suppose.  Also, their environment and training play a big role.  I'm
hoping to train it as soon as possible.  Plus my kids would like the tricks :)
