Dear Leah, I got your name from my husband, who works at Southern Pines Animal Shelter. I am a volunteer rescue coordinator for them, and we have the cutest, sweetest 1-year-old chocolate male dachshund (please see attached photos). He was found as a stray here in the area, and so he is technically on hold until the 13th, but the rate of owners coming to claim their dogs is fairly low here, and potential adopters have not been interested in him, once they have seen his hairless patches. His name is Dozer and he was vaccinated yesterday, but has red mange and some sort of dermatitis. He weighs 14 lbs. Pull fees can be waived if necessary. Please let me know as soon as you are able if you have any room for this little guy. I wanted to start with you, since you were so helpful with "Maddox," the last time SPAS contacted you. If you are unable to help at this time but could refer me to another group or forward this message to others in your organization, that would be also be appreciated. Thank you, and have a great day,
