I am looking to find a home/rescue for my two bonded dachsunds due to barking issues that now involve the City and ordinance violations.  I have a ton of dog gear: Kennel, carriers, leashes,  obediance training program, dachsund clothes etc.  I am fighting foreclosure for the next few months and need to focus on that first.

2 very bonded Dachsunds

Half sisters- born days from each other

Daisy:   Double dapple dachsund.  5 years old.  White, long hair, soft   (is NOT blind, deaf etc)

Sierra:  Dapple Dachlons.  Long hair 5 years old,   black/brown, soft hair.

They are purebred but I didn't want the papers

  • Name of dog.   Daisy & Sierra
  • Is the dog spayed/neutered?  YES
  • I have been unsuccessful in potty training them.   They bark when left outside and the neighbors have complained to the point where I am being fined.  Both have a lifetime contract with Bark Busters dog training (one on one) training that transfers to new owners.   They only had daytime appointments which I couldn't meet on-going .
  •  Can you provide vet records?  Yes  - Oregon City Veterinary
  • Is the dog up to date on all immunizations? Rabies? DHPP? Bordetella within the past 6 months?   No
  • Is the dog leash trained? Is the dog OK traveling in the car?  Yes on both accounts.  They love both and don't require a crate in the car
  • When was the dog last wormed? When was the dog last treated for fleas?   not current
  • What is the condition of the dog's teeth? Any recent dental work, cleaning?   nothing current.  Don't know if any issues but haven't taken to vet in awhile either
  • Is the dog kid, cat, other dog friendly?  They are kid tolerant.   They have never growled, bit, or been agressive at all.  Sierra is afraid of little kids.  Both do seek out kids they know ... I think they just need to be assured gentle handling.
  • Does the dog have any behavior issues? Please explain.  Same as above Behavior:  I have been unsuccessful in potty training them.   They bark when left outside and the neighbors have complained to the point where I am being fined.  Both have a lifetime contract with Bark Busters dog training (one on one) training that transfers to new owners.   They only had daytime appointments which I couldn't meet on-going .
  •  Both have stranger anxiety both get over it.   Daisy is the domenant one but is the most playfull and loving once the "danger" has past... i.e. 5 minutes.  Treats are a very good way around this.  Both will be very afraid at surrender.  When I have people around I let them out of kennel and let them check out the strangers without interaction from the strangers...this solves the issue and then everyone is friends.
  •  Has the dog received any obedience training? Does the dog know basic commands?   Yes BarkBusters.   Does know basic commands.
  • What activities does the dog particularly enjoy? Any funny behaviors or stories?  They would love to be in a home where they can be next to thier owners.     These dogs are very bonded and crate trained.   They have only been apart for one day in the 5 years.  They rarely leave each others side.
  • Is the dog trained to potty outdoors? on piddle pads?  They will go outside but  they want to go potty on carpet or other fabric
  • Is the dog generally healthy? Does the dog have any health issues? Is the dog on any medications?  Daisy has no known issues.  Sierra is suseptable to spine issues.  She was showing signs of paralysis.  The vet  had us put her in isolation with little movement.  She regained her mobility but if handled harshly/rough it could cause this to reoccur.   This is a major concern for me with giving her up and someone else wouldn't be sensitive to this or think it is ok to hold her wrong so screening would need to be thorough for all members of the household.   She shouldn't be in situations where she has to jump (she will try) it just should be minimized where possible.  i.e. she should be lifted in/out of the car.
  •  Does the dog have any skin problems? Allergies?  no
