I have to agree with Sherri. Sherri and I grew up together at the dog Shows. Her Dad handled several of our Boxers. We saw many times where dogs were just naturally thin. We had some that we fed all sorts of stuff to get weight on them to look better in the shows. These guys just stayed on the lean side until they hit 8 years or so. Then they gained, boy did they gain. We found ourselves having to put them on weight reduction diets. I feel as long as the Vet does not find a reason they are thin like worms, thyroid problem, etc. I don't worry about it. As for raw feeding I am not a fan of it. I did a lot of research about it and found many pros and cons. I feel if it works for you fine, but I prefer to feed Science Diet and Pedigree. I use the pedigree for treats. They think they are getting goodies but are actually eating food.
