In case Calypso, the National Aquarium's 500-pound green sea turtle, wasn't inspiring enough, she's now also the model for a sculpture that creates awareness of plastic's impact on animals. As part of this year's World Oceans Day celebration, the National Aquarium partnered with the Maryland Institute College of Art to produce a replica of our popular Blacktip Reef resident, made out of 4,000 recycled plastic bags.
