Hi boxer lovers,
You know how sometimes a certain boxer will just speak so loudly to your heart that you would do just about anything for them? Well, I saw this senior flashy fawn's picture taken at the high kill Baldwin Park shelter and I haven't been able to stop thinking about her since.
The rescue that I work with is completely full, but has agreed to back her if I can find her a foster and raise some more funds. The rescue back is huge because this rescue FULLY backs, so they will always have her back even though that could be quite costly to them financially.
I'm full as I still have my blind foster on top of my two girls, one of which is a special needs senior. Laila is the sweetest girl, knows sit, walks well on a leash and is just so precious. She's full of life. Her POS owners dumped her at the shelter and she has until Weds before she will be euthanized. She is not spayed yet, has a good sized mammary tumor, yeasty feet and a growth that is probably nothing of concern.
She will be released on medical waiver due to her age, so will then have blood work done, be spayed, tumor removed and biopsied and paws crossed that it's benign. The paws will be taken care of too. All medical costs will be covered.
Can you please help me find a foster for her? Here is a video I took of her today.
I need to do some more work on the financial end for her too. If you would like to make a pledge, that would also be greatly appreciated. Basically, a pledge is a commitment to a donation to the rescue that is made after the dog is rescued. Pledges are honored to the rescue and are fully tax deductible. Thank you so much for reading, listening and caring.
Boxer hugs and kisses,
