Mostly, sounds like a poor guy who's been passed around a lot ... and
hasn't realized this time he HAS found his forever home ....
A lot of dogs don't handle multiple rehomings well - but in my
experience, boxers, especially. Every boxer I have had since I was 4
years old had that One Person who was Their Person. While I lived with
my family, our first, Duchess, was my Dad's dog. Her daughter, GiGi, was
"my" dog. MacKeever -- Dad's again and Maggie was Mom's. Doesn't mean
the entire family didn't belong to the boxer, but there was That One.
Rehomed, the boxer doesn't trust depending on any new person sticking it
out. If Ben is mostly pooping when left home alone, I'd definitely go
with separation anxiety being the cause.
Pooping may just be a fear reaction. Now, if it was wetting -- I'd say
have him checked for a urinary infection!
