Karon thank you for a great post! There is so much push to get a rescue that those who do buy a puppy from a reputable breeder are mentally attacked! I talked to 2 different people this weekend who wanted puppies(of different breeds, neither Boxer) and I listened to the crap they have been putting up with from others about it because they were not considering a rescue. There is nothing wrong with wanting/buying a puppy from a reputable breeder instead of getting a rescue! Also if someone does want something older than a puppy, a breeder is still a good source as a good breeder rescues their own puppies! I got my standard Poodle from a breeder, she had gotten him back when they had to unexpectally move overseas. I have this dogs entire history.
