Hi my boxer is 9 months and he spins when people come by .Doesn't matter front or back .He is not fixed either. He always has . So when I see people coming I take him off sidewalk a bit and hold him and make him sit , he still watches and tries to see where they are going but he is sitting now and better , Men are worse and so are children and buggies, I hold his leash short and hold his collar by his head . He never really liked other dogs or people and has snapped at people when they stick their hand out at him to pat him , House breaking was a big problem too . and this is my first and last boxer. My cockers were so easy . He has grown up with my cockers so they are ok. I use to keep him in the crate and always when I am out , At night he is locked in my room so when he wakes up . I get up and we go out .immediately, He always pees after walking when we get home and sometimes poops while walking now . He poops and pees after eating ,so he goes
out and after play he goes out .He never really tells me . I can leave him in crate for 4 hours now without going to the bathroom but he must pee before going in crate. Boxers to me are a very hard breed to train and he must walk every day . I think he is a bit on the hyper side . Hope I have helped but I am still working on my dog . He can still sneak off and try to poop in the basement so all doors are closed and I have to watch him closely . My cockers are a dream compared to this guy.

Subject: [boxer lovers] My Boxer and I need some advice
My dog is male, 3 1/3, I have had him for a year and a half and this week he has begun pooping in my house. Normal poops, not runs or wormy types. He is a very nervous dog and always highstrung. He hates other people with a fear base and spins on leash when people come from behind. He was retired from show due to undescended testicle and I picked him up from shelter when I got him. I am 3rd owner, 1st was the kennel until yr old, next was a woman until about 2, and now me. Until this week I have not had any potty issues, just barking at strangers and being quite fearful in public.
Any pointers and tips? I am getting frustrated. He pooped on the night of fourth I understand that one with fireworks. He pooped yesterday morning, this morning, and now this afternoon with us home. Never asked, he always would ask plus our schedule we let out 3-4 times plus any asking. Is this becoming a behavior and any help STOPPING this. I dont want to get rid of him and I dont want poop on my floors.
