Quick update. We went to the oncologist today. Both tumors are cancerous. The one on her private part is too large to remove right now. So we are taking Prednisone, 10mg ones a day for 10 days. The vet didn't seem to be excited about Tagament treatment, as "it has bad side effects". She still insists on surgery, which they will be able to perform in 10 days, after the tumors shrink a little. Then they'll be able to perform biopsy to identify the stage of the tumors. After that, possibly radiation.
Sounds slightly more involved then just Tagament, unfortunately.
On the brighter side, Aurora's lymph system is not damaged by the cancer cells. And the medicine was $4, which was a BIG relief after the hospital bill.
She took her 1st pill tonight. Now she is snoring, possibly because of the medication, don't know. Also, she is slightly puzzled why is she getting all these hugs and kisses :-)
I took a picture to watch the progress. Fingers crossed.
Thank you for the help and support. I want to believe we are in good hands and will be tumors free by the beginning of 2013.
Lyuda and Aurora
