Lisa...... Merle is not a boxer color...Poms have that color and I think Australian Shepherds do too as well as some other breeds.. ....it is a blotchy color pattern of blue gray on white from what I have seen....From what I have read it also takes two parents carrying that gene to have merle puppies. I only know what I have read from other lists about them... I have not researched that color myself... I have had enough to do with researching the blue in boxers... :O)
And the way the blues get registered is by choosing one of the options given... Brindle or Fawn...which they are also so that works.. I have used their color in their names so people that look at one of the pedigrees can see where the blue in the line is...I wish everyone would have done the same... Marcus's dad's breeder did and that helped... He was " Christian's Blue".
I believe you have seen Boo.. she is a flashy Blue Brindle and that is different than a merle....The colors that would be black and fawn are diluted to a blue gray and light fawn to beige...That is why the gene is called a dilute gene... I agree that a black dog with a blue sheen is not a blue either...Many people have never seen a blue boxer...but I have had four now...Boo, the momma, her sister Taupee, and Boo's two puppies... one puppy is a beige fawn with blue gray mask, socks and brindling on her body.. the other one is mostly gray brindle with a touch of beige fawn showing through...which is why I said I think she will be a gray blue reverse brindle. I have never seen one like this before either... this is interesting to see what combinations come out...to me any way... :O)
There is a lot of interesting facts when it comes to colors in animals..as with other aspects...
Just wanted to get what a blue boxer is straight...
Thanks,
Annette

And that combo technically made them "out of standard" which was the flash not only had to be attractive but NO MORE THAN ONE THIRD OF THE GROUND COLOR. That meant, with very little fawn showing through as "ground color", a brindle with minimal flash would be "more than one third."

With only one dog you would want to maybe only cook fewer amount of it at a time..so it stays fresh for him to eat...

"please mom, we haven't eaten in at least a week maybe more" LOL Maggie and Marcus will just wait until they think we are not going to give them anything or I tell them no more...but Boo is not quite as patient...if she sits there giving us that look for a little bit with not response from us.. she give us a little nudge with UMMMM ....wait.... UMMMM ...wait...UMMMM it is cute and I don't mind cause if I want them to stop or go away they will when I tell them to... lol

I was wondering if any of you give your boxers any table food? I know that foods such as grapes, chocolate, raisins, etc are bad for them so I stay away. I do sometimes give him chicken or eggs. Do you think this is ok?
