[boxer lovers] Re: What should I avoid and what should I look for in a search for a puppy.

Hi Alice,
We found our big boy on Craiglist. He was being sold by a lady who use to do boxer rescue. He'd been left behind at a campground and wandered to a nearby farmhouse. The people tried for two months to locate his owner, but had no luck. They finally took him to their vet who knew of a lady who use to do boxer rescue. The rest is history. We paid only the amount of the initial vet visit and neutering fees. I've seen many free boxers on Craigslist as well and I wish I had the means to take them all. While it's true that you don't always necessarily know what you're getting health wise, these are the ones that really need us. Maybe we just got lucky, but I feel like we got the best dog EVER and I'd do it all over again!!! :-)
