Well, now that I've cleared the coffee out of my keyboard.
Boxers are lap dogs. Also, I have a queensized bed. I get about a quarter of it. Meg gets the rest. And should I get up, somehow, without standing up, she manages to ooze into the spot I was in.
I've had boxers since 1957. Fantastic family dogs. Good with kids ... And unbeatable watch dogs. As to age, I've had puppies who moved in and took over as Head Dog when I had a kennel of 7. And believe it or not, the females tend to be more authoritative than males.
Just be advised. You may have difficulty when trying to discipline your children. Boxers don't like THEIR children upset.
