I have been a dog lover all my life. I always like the small breeds never
thought I would like a big dog. Until this stray boxer came to our house.
He was the sweetest big boy I had ever seen. He came at a time when I
needed something special my day was sick and dieing. I think he knew that.
We called him Buddy and we bonded instantly. We found the owner and they
came and got him. But he wouldn't stay there he would get free and come to
our house. Of course I was always so happy to see him. My daughter had
fallin in love with him to. They finally came after him and he didn't come
back. So I new I wanted a boxer. I went to work for a friend of mine that
raised them and I picked out a puppy. Of course working with boxers
everyday I loved the breed more and more. I finally got to bring my new
boxer baby home. 2 weeks later Buddy came back. The owner told me he
wasn't happy over there so they gave him to me. I was elated. I now have
Buddy and Sadie. They are the most loving caring dogs I have ever seen. The
are so much fun. The play with you and love everyone. I do think that they
would protect there family if they needed to. Both of my boxers love my 4
yr old grandson. He hugs and crawls all over them and they never even look
at him funny. I will tell you one thing be sure and train your boxer to
listen to you. They are stong as an ox you need to be able to handle them.
If you choose a boxer I think you will find that they fit and complete your
family like mine have. Good luck on what ever breed you choose. Sorry to
ramble on so but the bond I have with my boxer babies is overwhelming to
me.
