My Tiny - my rescue Beagle - was born into my hands and has hydrocephalus (water on the brain). He is now over 4 years old and unless you look closely, you wouldn't know it. Tiny and Heidi (my boxer baby) have become such good buddies. I often find them sleeping on the couch - Heidi in the back, Tiny in the front and Heidi has her legs wrapped around Tiny! I have gotten some of the most adorable pictures of this, it melts my heart. Before Heidi came home, Tiny would lay ON my rat terrier Ping-Ping (also a rescue). She would get so annoyed because he was at least 3x bigger/heavier than her. When Heidi came home, Tiny was also larger than she was and he did the same with her. Of course over time, she has grown to be double Tiny's size and now SHE lays on HIM...unless they are "spooning". As I write this, Ping-Ping is in my lap, next to us is Heidi who is partially laying on top of Tiny and they are all snoring away. It is a beautiful
thing.
I am so sorry to hear of the losses of these babies. In rescue, I have had the experience of rescuing entire litters that I discovered in a matter of hours had Parvo. Some of them have made it (with tons of vet help) and others didn't have a chance. Every loss leaves a whole in the heart, for sure. I don't know which is worse - a long-term beloved family pet or a tiny little one who barely had a chance...we love them to the best of our ability while they are here and never forget each and every one. And...know that when they do leave us, they have gone to a place more beautiful than our wildest imagination can come up with - they are happy, healthy and free to play to their hearts' content.
Love and blessings to you all!
Val, Ping-Ping, Tiny and Heidi

They are true friends and sorry to hear about sad stories. But I guess that's the times when they show their support.
I just do not understand why my girl is attached to me lately...I am nor sad, no unhappy. But she just wouldn't detach herself from me! Got to the point that she sleeps pretty much on top of me, which doesn't do me any good the next morning, since I still have to get up early to go to work... But I love my Aurora dearly. Maybe she just needs it...
