If she has an allergy, you may have fixed part by changing foods but not enough. My Meg is allergic to almost everything that goes into commercial dog food. Hive allergic to chicken and turkey. Eggs. Peas. Peanuts. Brewers yeast alfalfa.

You might try going with a mix of boiled rice (No Salt) and browned ground beef. And its possible a benadryl will help with the systems. I wouldn't do them long term, but a few days if treatment and change of diet might help.

Google for dosage if benadryl but my vet had me using up to 2 at a time as a sedative to get Meg to calm down during storms.

Thanks for your response. I don't think it's an infection but maybe I'm wrong, we cleaned her ears today w solution, but that's a temporary fix. I just don't want her to have to be on these drops for the rest of her life, I feel bad, I'm hoping for something more natural, because with the drops the scratching always seems to come back, and I just can't figure out why.
