When I attened Dog Scout Camp (first camp early 1990's) we were instructed that the retractable leashes were banned at camp. I had never seen one and did not know what they were and was too busy getting settled to ask questions. I now have a very elderly landlady and she walks two 20lb dogs, both on retractable leashes. I am so glad you posted this info. I do not know if she will listen but I will share this info with her. Thank you so very much!
