Re: [boxer lovers] Roughhousing with too much Rough

Maybe a good brisk walk before they are allowed to play?  Perhaps then their play will be less energetic.  My boxer Heidi plays with three littler dogs (30, 15, 10 pound dogs) and no one gets marked up but it sounds like they are all killing each other when they play.

Lucy and Zeke love to play fight. The only problem is Lucy's face looks like she went five rounds with Mike Tyson. She will go back for more too. It doesn't seem to bother her, but her face looks awful from Zeke's teeth or toenails.

Does anyone else's boxers do this and how do you teach them to play nicer with each other? These two are definately playing and not fighting, but they don't seem to know when to tone it down a notch or five.
