Hello! I am with Almost Home Humane Society in Lafayette, Indiana. We have a little old lady Dachsund that is in need of rescue. DRNA recommended that I get in touch with you because I've been having trouble finding any rescues with space available.
She came to us as a stray last week and we estimate she is at least 10. She has really horrendous teeth and our veterinarian is going to do a major dental on her this Sunday and also spay her if necessary. She is a little thin, but we believe this is just because she has been having difficulty eating due to her teeth. She is very sweet but we think she would be better suited with rescue where she can recover from her dental and gain a little weight in a foster home rather than a kennel.
If you can help her or cross-post her with other Dachsund groups, I would really appreciate it. I've attached a photo for reference,
