I have a 5 year old female Lexi, and my son just rescued a 1 yr. old male, Bentley..As of this week, we are now living together. Bentley has been in the house about 2 weeks. Lexi and I moved in with them. Their first meeting was not too bad, a fight, mostly noise and alot of sniffing.. For the most part they are getting along fine, except when they start playing, (usually with a toy)..then they end up fighting..they both want to be in control. It has gotten bad, to the point of blood shed..we tried to let them go but Lexi got cut right by her eye, and I am afraid one will get hurt badly. We are now yanking them apart when they start..I am now pack leader, till we work this out...My female has always been an only child, and not used to living with other dogs.. The pup, male has recently lived in foster care with other dogs. Please tell me how to proceed, to make a happy blended family. Thank you, Dawn
