I think the fact that boxers are very sensitive dogs to their owners has a lot to do with it. I know my boxers pay attention to me so much that three of them let me know if my blood sugar is running low. They were never taught anything about it. One day they just started coming and nagging me. Mia will come and look me in the face, and Lily will come and just lick and lick and lick and not stop. But the minute I pick up my blood meter they stop and just sit and watch. Ralph started last week sitting at my feet and shaking. We have no idea what was wrong with him. But then Lily started licking. They were right, my sugar was low.
