[boxer lovers] Thinking ahead but still grieving

So, Mayhem has been gone less than a week and I am still crying at random time. But, overall, the most important things for me, is Tovi. She is lonely. She needs a buddy. She has never, even been alone.

For medical reasons it will be after the 1st of the year before we will be ready for another dog. I would not mind adopting if we could find a full blood boxer and the vet clears them for the worst of the ‘typical’ boxer illnesses. My worst nightmare is my dog becoming ill with something a good breeder could have and should have prevented. But, at the very least, we will be ready for a new family member in January or February, Tovi needs a younger dog since she still thinks she is a puppy!

So, I come here to check to see if anyone here has plans to have puppies on the ground about that time. This will be a pet dog, not a show dog, I will not have the resources to put them in the ring this time. I had the money to keep him on the road but the I had an auto accident and that put a stop to my show aspirations. But, Mayhem had his major and was stopped at 13 points. I SO wanted to finish him but just could not.

While we cannot afford to sponsor a dog to the ring, he will be apple of our eye and Tovi’s best playmate.
