I, for one, appreciate the REMINDER of how vulnerable we, as consumers and our pets as 'guinea pigs' are, to this sort of misfortune.
I believe we need this reminder, over and over again no matter how old the initial recall and reports are; we are learning that just because one company 'gets caught' doesn't mean there are no other unscrupulous or simply unknowing, manufacturers out there ready to take their place. It's all about MONEY, hello!!! NOT about the potential negative impact on our beloved 4 legged family members and on ourselves who love them.
We are ALL being poisoned in one way or another, every single day - from our make-up to our drinks and food - Even in some cases, our water and air born pollutants;
the best we can do is be informed; make informed purchasing decisions.
Buy made Canadian (for us Canadians) or U.S. for the others, and only from companies that use ONLY ingredients grown in Canada! be it the protein source (fish, beef, chicken), the grain - if any - grown here; organ meats are generally fine and sometimes the best part of the beast for our pets.
So yes, go ahead and send and re-send the message: that particular one may be three years old - the problem is ageless.
