Oh, that something special is love. They have lived and loved and they still have a tongue! For a boxer, that and a wiggly butt is all they need. As my babies grow into the 'aging' category, I can see the quiet love that is always there with them. they still come curl up beside me when I'm ill and they are always watching over me (translation, the doorknob on my bathroom door is just for decoration. I think the plastic film is still on it!)
I love my babies, no matter how old!

This is Yukon. He is 8 mow I've had him and his sister a year and a half. He is the clown of the trio. I got the pair at the APL. No one wanted 2 senior boxers who were sick. They had been there for a while. He is a very good boy.

I'm sorry, I HAVE to say this. there IS NOT MUCH in this world that P!SSES
me off more than seeing an elderly dog left at a shelter. And then, hear the
halting 'excuses' from the surrendering owners. Just too old, just too big,
just couldn't handle.. I want to slap these people but, in the best interest
of the dog, I smile, take the leash and look for a good home to take proper
care of what was a loyal, loving member of a family, left and abandoned,
never knowing why. I just want to scream!
