Question for everyone here. As you know, I will be getting a new Boxer puppy in a few days. The breeder was feeding Iams puppy but I don't think that is a good quality food so I bought a very small bag and planned to switch to Blue Buffalo which is very high quality. The breeder told me not to use Blue because the protein level is too high and it could damage the puppies kidneys, heart and liver, issues which Boxers can be prone to. The breeder told me the protein level should be no more than 27 percent. Blue Buffalo is 34 percent. So any recommendations for a puppy food that is high in quality with appropriate protein levels for a Boxer? Also, have any of you heard the high protein was not good. I was always taught that high protein meant high quality.
