RE: [boxer lovers] Drool box!

Luckily, I have a VERY good, long term vet who is very familiar with Boxers. I love this guy. He has been with me since I was in high school. I think he was fresh out of Vet's school and my parents were using the practice he went into. He's been with me since. And he is great for Boxers. Worked with me for a long time on rescue, too.

Just remind your vet not to use "Ace" Acepromazine (acepromazine maleate, acetylpromazine, ACE, ACP). If your vet isn't familiar with the fact that Boxers are extremely sensitive to it, I might find a new vet.  Honestly I would be very surprised to find out that any more then just a very few oldtimes even use the stuff anymore, since Boxers were not the only breed that have trouble with it.

ah that's to bad . mine had a fractured tooth , so she had a dental cleaning and then another tooth was pulled  as well. she still has 1 fractured tooth but I left it as she eats raw and would have a hard time . good luck with your dog. My one was a cocker , but make sure they dont use that one sedative that's not good for boxers.I forget what it is called right now.

I have read that heavy drooling can be a dental problem so it would be a good idea to let your vet check her..  Is she eating dry food or milk bones,Treats, etc. ok?  That is what I usually look at to decide if they have a bad tooth or sores in their mouth...You can try to look in her mouth if she will let you.  Good Luck :O)
