Could have been a wasp sting or spider bite that brought on the Anaphylaxis (ellergic reaction).  You can purchase an "Epipen" epinephrine auto injector for emergency use from a pharmacy or keep on hand "benedryl" tabs for temporary relieve enroute to the vetinarian.  For easier and quicker effectiveness of benedryl insert two tabs rectally.

Wednesday night I came home from work all three boxers were fine.  I put them out, brought them in, i was running a little late so I fed them, usually we walk first.  I sat on the couch for a bit reading.  Gemini was laying at my feet as usual.  She jumped up,ran upstairs and right back down.   Not at all normal for.  A little later I got up to get some tea.  She got up to follow me also as usual.  I looked at her and her eyes were both swollen shut.  She couldn't even see.  I called my daughter to come and drive us to the emergency vet and asked her to bring my grandsons saline for his contacts.  I called the vet and asked what I could do until I could get her there.  By the time my daughter got here Gemini's face looked like a basketball and was just as hard.  Poor thing.  She was beginning to breath funny through her mouth.  I figured it was an allergic reaction to something.  Vet took her right in.  They gave her IV Benadryl and steroids.  After a while her face started to go down and I took her home.  Vet said when she came in she looked like an elephant seal, and he was right.  He said to keep giving her the benadyl 3 at a time for at least a day every 8 hours.  She looks fine now.  But I am worried because I don't know what caused it.  Nothing ws different, no new food, no new treats I can't prevent it I don't know what caused it
