RE: [boxer lovers] on a walk

Nana,

I can relate. My Maggie is just gorgeous. I got her from a shelter a bit over 5 years ago when she was about 8 years old and emaciated. It was really hard to see her beauty that day, but she was GOREGEOUS. Within a few weeks I had so many people stop and tell me what a beautiful dog she was. The kicker though was a guy honking to get our attention to tell me what a good looking dog she was. The guys used to do that to me, but they were doing for my Maggie instead J

She's so gray now at approximately 13, but people still  see what a beautiful creature she is. I thought I was losing her yesterday. We were in ER all day because she went into a cluster of seizures. Don't ask me how or why, but my beloved gorgeous Maggie had enough in her to say "I'm not ready to leave" and she's home with her family. Love them every minute you can. Time passes so quickly and their lives even at the higher end of their life expectancy is still too short.

I took my 3 senior boxers for a walk Sunday afternoon after work.  We walk at least twice a day.  On Sunday a black jeap stopped by us.  The man driving said, " beautiful dogs, are they Mastiffs?  No I told him, theyare boxers.  W wnt a little farther turned a corner, a man carring a 6 pack of beer was walking toward me.  Ther are no sidwalks on my street.  He asked if they were OK meaning would they bit.  I told the boxers to sit, they did, and said theyw ere OK.  As he passed us, dogs looking up at me, he said,"Those are some F***ing looking dogs."  Guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder and depends on where you are in the street.

Literature is my utopia,

It is the beginning of the end of a society or family when they no longer take care of their young or their old
