When I moved to Phoenix right after college, I found a VERY young kitten
playing around our door. It was late June and Phoenix and I knew the
kitten wouldn't survive the heat and lack of water. So, I took him in
and offered him a bit of watered down milk. He looked around, gave me a
bit of stink eye and I could hear in my head "Ok. Decent place. I'll
stay. And YOU can stay, too, as long as you know who's the King around
here."
My roommate and I named him -- Apache Kid Cuddles Lovakims Shiddinsky.
The Apache Kid was a "half-breed" (white and Apache) outlaw -- who
scared even the Apaches. Yeah. Our cat could be that
Cuddles Lovakims -- because when he wanted it, he was good at cuddles.
Shiddinsky -- because he frequently did, in the corners (even with a
freshly cleaned litter box).
Oh -- we called him K.C. (for Kitten Cat - because until he died at
16years, he was sometimes kitten, sometimes adult cat)
He was also a heck of a watch cat ....
