It would be difficult to have someone here everytime I leave or take her to daycare. I am retired, home almost all the time. Seems as though most outings are unplanned, and they hardly ever last very long. Usually an hour or two. I could just take her to daycare and leave her all day everyday, but that sounds likes a ridiculous expense when it is only needed occasionally. Plus they are only day care,, I need a fulltime, day and night solution. I know you probably thought I was talking about leaving while I go to work like I talked about in my story.

I hate to keep confining her, giving her what she considers punishment. I could drag out her old metal cage, chain it to the rail, away from house and cover w tarp. She would be warm, safe, and confined. Hard for me to do that, the first time I put her in it, she sat down and howled a low sad moan. But it is her or my stuff, and the stuff wins. The damage she has already done has cost me too much.money.

I'm not neglecting your advice of a trainer, but none I've found so far have any idea how to train for this issue, except more obedience and I can do that. There is a guy here who touts his training abilities and charges $1000 to fix your dog, but I hear he is mean and that, again, won't help an anxious dog.

Again, thanks for the response, you gave me some ideas. I wonder if I could make her a therapy dog and take her everyday w me. But the therapy would be all for her. Lol!
Of course, then I'd probably stay having problems w the male.

I thought my female had separation anxiety, but realized I had a bored pup. After what we've been through with the blind rescue, there is definitely a difference and your girl sounds very much more like separation anxiety than bored pup.

I have two boxers, my second set. One male, one female (no relation), bith are three years old. The male is a quiet big gentleman, a bit of a coward, the female is a bundle of energy, fierce, smart, and quite a character.

When I bought her, I swear she nor any of her ancestors back to wolves had ever been in a house. She had no discipline, no response respect, no idea.. I was forced to put cage her while at work because she destroyed everything. She figured out to get out of every cage, until I bought a metal one,, then she was ok for awhile, but eventually she figured out how to push the plastic bottom out and then she could tear up the carpet under it.
Eventually she stopped chewing, mostly, and I stopped caging her.
I just moved to a new house and she is back at it again, and every attempt to stop her had failed. She had ripped every screen off back windows and when they were all gone she stayed chewing through the wood on the house.
I bought an iron gate and put her off deck in yard and she had figured iyt how to undo chain and even get on deck w it in place. And then she rips up wood and jumps on the windows. It is only a matter of time before she busts a window and cuts herself.

I have a deep love for her, do not want to give her away, I want to fix problem, but don't know how, except to tie her up,, which I doubt this would work either..
She is very obedient, knows sit down stay, congress when I call even when running free. She adores children, will play w them for hours. I am older, cannot walk her everyday, but she has a large backyard and runs and plays w male.

Can anyone help me?
it starting to get cold, I'm not going to be able to leave her outside much longer. Not that it is,a good solution.
