Okay, so, the House Alpha says NO and you're wondering why they left it?
You demanded it. You're the Big Cheese ... the little darlings left it
for you to have.
This is why, when Meg and Cooper caught (who knows how) the Juvenile
Squirrel and brought it into the house, I very carefully watched what I
said and how I reacted. I wanted THEM to take it out of the house before
it got free. Opossums play dead (and isn't that something how they
really, truly look DEAD???). Squirrels run around and hide!! Lucky for
me, they ran back outside and I was able to get it away from them in the
backyard instead of THE MIDDLE OF MY BEDROOM!!!
