We have been networking 2 Boxers that were headed to the shelter b/c
their owner lost his home. We made it clear up front that we only wanted
rescue for BOTH do...gs...not a rescue that only wanted mama and the
puppies.
We felt we were led to believe that the rescue we coordinated our
efforts with was committing to both Boxer babies; but, the rescue picked
up the pregnant mama 2 days ago. They have been unresponsive to our
requests for details of the status for the daddy.
At this point, our only choice is to believe that they never had any
intention of saving the male. I have met both, mama & daddy, Boxers. The
mama is very sweet, but daddy is reserved and nervous of strangers. He
is quick to warm up w/ treats. He performed obedience commands for us.
His owner has to be out of his current living situation in 7 DAYS.
This boy ***WILL DIE*** in the shelter. He's already nervous; and, we
are sure that will be looked at as aggression in a shelter environment.
He's not aggressive. He has just not been socialized well. :-(
Please help us share him to get him to safety?!?
