I know nothing more about this. Was passed on to me by a friend. I have
also passed on to the rescue in that area we've worked with before to get
our last boxer Gracie.

"Debo is a 10 year old Boxer. He was brought into a vets office this
evening to be euthanized. He is a certified service dog that could alert
his owner before an MS attack occurred. This dog and his previous owner
have been failed time and time again. The apartment complex where he lives
enforced a no dog rule or be forced to pay a hefty fine. His owner provided
proof that Debo was a service dog but that wasn't good enough for the
apartment complex. They insisted he pay the fine or get rid of Debo. The
man is on disability and cannot afford to pay hefty fees/fines. A friend
took Debo in with the understanding that a local shelter would take Debo in
by a certain date. Two days before the surrender date she was told the
shelter would not accept Debo and she was not to bring him in. She now has
a dog she had no intention of keeping long term and does not have the
proper housing for. She has several young children and is struggling
financially. She also has steep steps in her home that Debo cannot do. He
does have some weakness and neurological issues in the hind end.
Debo may not have a long time left on this earth but he can still have some
quality of life in a loving home. The system has failed both Debo and his
previous owner. To deny a man his service dog is terrible not to mention
illegal and a local shelter denying a dog admittance?
How do people sleep at night?
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider fostering or adopting Debo. He is great with
both kids and other dogs. Please open your home to this sweet guy. It's not
his time to leave this earth and he shouldn't have to simply because people
failed him.
