 Peacock Mantis Shrimp
Peacock mantis shrimp are truly amazing—and we now have one on exhibit! This colorful Indo-Pacific crustacean may look harmless, but it can pack a fatal punch. The mantis shrimp has two club-shaped appendages that punch with (an estimated speed of up to 50 miles per hour) to break into hard-shelled mollusks.
