Re: [boxer lovers] Fighting dogs!

Very good advice.  I would also suggest getting a trainer to come into your home and observe.  An experienced trainer may be able to identify issues/triggers, etc. and offer you suggestions for stopping before it starts and maybe even a technique(s) for getting it stopped.  A single person alone trying to break up a 3 way fight is at great risk for critical harm.  Be careful!

Three is rough because you have 2 pick on one. Also, you'll have them
fight because two think they are Head Dog and want to impress that on
the other (as well as territorial). With dogs of all kinds, but
particularly when you have a big strong breed, you have to impress on
them just WHO is the biggest, baddest, nastiest dog in the room -- and
that had better be YOU. If they fight like this already, it's next to
impossible to get it to stop. You can work to not let it get to the
point where fisticuffs actually start, but that means watching the dogs
and learning the body language. Once somebody gives another the Stink
Eye, you, as Head Nasty, get on EVERYONE's case to not let it get
further. ALSO DO NO LEAVE THESE DOGS ALONE. PERIOD. Get crates. Put them
in different rooms (I've had dogs bust out of crates -- good heavy
crates) and even preferably, close doors, if you are not going to be
there with them.

You might try breaking them up with cold water but be extremely cautious
about trying to break them up when you are alone. Too much risk to yourself.

Is everyone neutered? Get them neutered/spayed if they aren't. Intact
males especially around a bitch (even a spayed bitch) tend to juggle for
position.

Your son needs to contain his pit. The possibility is high the pit
doesn't see you as Head Dog.
