There is no reason that meat sourced from a reasonable source (ie, butcher,
or reputable pet shop) should contain either bacteria or worms.
Dogs' stomachs contain a very strong digestive fluid (acid) which can
handle some bacteria - which is why dogs will dig up or find and eat
disgustings things without any problems.
