Spirit, one of our female dolphins was born at the Aquarium in 2001 and is 12 years old! She's fully grown and she weighs 380 pounds! The National Aquarium's Marine Animal Rescue Program recently returned from a road trip adventure to transport and release 52 endangered sea turtles off the Florida coast. These contraptions are constructed out of used bicycles, gears, and parts, created by a genius who tinkers around in the garage or backyard.
