I would suggest fish body oil capsules without soy .I use 1000 mg a day for my 24 pound cockers . It has helped with dandruff and itching . My son and I also use fish oil . Kelp is good and so is Krill . Krill is more expensive. Depending on the brand you use you should have EPA and DHA .. My son weighs 150 pounds and would take 3 times a day1200 mg of fish oil with 1000 mg of the DHA and EPA daily. you can't over dose on fish oil . It is also great for the heart . I also give natural source viamin e as fish oil over a long time can deplete vit e . So I also give kelp powder . It is great for vitamins and minerals. I believe mange comes from a low immune system of some sorts . I don't believe in antibiotics for mange . I also feed a raw diet wich is great for dogs . My boxer is 30 pounds and he gets 1 fish oil capsule daily with kelp , and digestive enzymes by natura vet. Hope I have helped some . Consider putting your dog on a raw
diet ..

I have an 8 year old male boxer who had a severe case of mange 2 years ago and has had skin problems ever since. His latest episode was one of severe itching over his entire body. He was diagnosed with funiculitis which is inflamation of the hair follicles. He has been on antibiotics and various cortisone products. He had one huge spot that developed into furniculosis. We could not get this place to heal(it was the size of a quarter and just kept oozing) We had it cut out by the vet and he stopped fussing with it immediately. Incidentally there was no sign of cancer. Now the specialist is telling me it is allergies. I do not believe it is allergies but that it is a deep skin condition. His thyroid was also very low. Now that he is on thyroid medicine his hair is becoming really much better. It is getting thicker and much softer. He is starting to scrach again but not nearly so severe-i.e. biting himself. What I need help with is has anyone had any skin
problems like this and if so what did you do? TIA
Wanda
