You know, it may be that the diarrhea may have been from the grains and the idea of both feeds at once. Often when you change a dog from raw to kibble they can have a severe bout of diarrhea. It could be as simple as that. Perhaps if you move him to full raw he might settle in just fine. Think about that and see if he does better. I know when I put mine on raw, they took to it enthusiastically and never looked back without any problem.

Hi Karon,he was on kibble and then 1/2 raw but he got diarhea. He eats like he's starving . and cries for food . He comes and watches in the kitchen for raw meat or kibble.. I don't want him to heavy while growing and I am trying bto go back on the raw with him. Mu other dogs eat raw .

Look at his activity level and his look. He is going to be lanky, they all
are at this age. But, if he seems to be eating enthusiastically rather than
ravenously (although, in pups the difference is hard to see ) What does
the vet say? Also, look at food consumption. If you are feeding kibble, I
would have a hard time giving you actual amounts. All of that will depend on
the amount of protein in the kibble. I feed raw. With raw food, you want to
have an idea of adult weight. You can get that from the breeder. The weights
of the Dam and Sire and averaging between the two and adjusting for sex of
your pup.
For a raw fed pup, you want to feed 10% of their current weight per day,
split up in 5-6 feedings. Once that 10% number reaches 3% of expected adult
weight, you keep the feeding amount per day the same and adjust it to the
number of feedings you intend to feed for life. In the case of my dogs, we
feed twice a day.
So, we feed 1 1/5 % of their body weight per feeding, twice a day. I hope
that makes sense.
