They wanted me to bring him in...which thought that was what they would say...so I did and he did not want to get into the car...Alan had to pick him up, all 75lbs., and put him in the back seat...(only time he has been in the car was when we got him from Sprindfield and he rode in between my legs in the front floor board)... I attached his seat belt and off we went... he was scared about half the way... it is a 50 min. trip...and when we got to the Vet he did not want to get out of the car.... I let him take time and coaxed him out... he did great in the Vet's office...no problem no shaking etc...so it worked out fine... He laid his head on my shoulder from the back seat...he had enough strap to stand up in the seat...Over all he did so much better than I thought he would.

Thanks... if it were Boo i would take her right a way but Marcus is deathly afraid of strangers( has been that way since we got him at 8 mo. old.)..trembles intensely all over....and goes as far away as possible..He is strong and weighs about 75 lbs....I don't know if I can control him in a vets office...has never had to go before.. he is 5 years old now.....plus he hated cats and there is a black cat that has full reign of the vet's office...but I will call them and see what they suggest... Thanks :O)

The line in the eye sounds like maybe a scratched cornea.I wouldn't take any chances since I have had one and took a year for the doctor to check me properly . It is quite painful and the eye gets itchy and tears. Also takes some time to heal with proper meds. It also could reacur down the line.I do use over the counter eye ointment for the start of eye infections for my cockers but sometimes I have to get a prescription . Just call the vet and ask what you could use over the counter.
