Re: [boxer lovers] Bogie Bear has Liver Shunts / Copper Toxicity

I had a puppy with liver shunts 9 years ago. Reputable show breeder, very good friend of a friend. White female boxer puppy, both parents were champions. She started having neurological signs aside from her being 14 lbs at 4 months old. The surgery was a 50% chance of success at the time. We decided to put her down. Like your boxer, my vet said it normally occurs in small breeds and had not seen it in boxers before.
