[boxer lovers] 11 wk pup update, Brondy Blue

Yes, she has a name now, for the first time in her little life.
If you have checked the GOBR main web site, or GO Boxer Rescue's Facebook page, you've seen there was an update put up earlier today. Well, I'll give you a sneak peak at another update. There will be a lot more posted about this little girl in the next day or two so keep checking back by all means. Her OWN page is being developed as I type even which we will soon be directing everyone to so they can read her entire story, and follow her progress as she recovers, and truly does become a happy and HEALTHY Boxer pup.
Brondy Blue is doing real well, she is eating, but has not yet had a bowel movement. The vets aren't worried about that yet, fully expect her to have one this evening or early morning. They also feel good that Brondy will be able to go to her Foster Home late tomorrow afternoon.

Mary, this one bounced back on me for the same reason as the other one. Can't figure it out. Would you PLEASE post this to boxerlovers for me. We're praying for donations for sure for this one as the vet bill is for sure going to be a lot more than what the person who provided the information guesstimated.

Actually this pup is only 11 weeks old, weighs 9 pounds, and the owners had never given her a name. The owner did agree to surrender to GOBR so that the pup could get the help it needed. They are going to see if the pup is any better tomorrow, but the owner said to put the puppy down if it needs surgery - he isn't willing (or able?) to pay for it. My mother-in-law called me because I have two boxers and volunteered for a boxer rescue some 8 years ago (which no longer exists.) The owner is willing to turn the dog over to someone else instead of putting it to sleep. But, this person will need to pay for the surgery, which my mother-in-law estimated at $600-$700 to go through the intestines and remove the obstruction. I don't want this little girl to die! But, with two boxers and other obligations, I don't know if I can swing the vet bills (and long term commitment) to keep her. The owner has not even named her, if that shows you how (un)caring they are. :( If she
improves tomorrow, the owner might keep her, but the vet thinks this is very unlikely. This area is near Appalachia, so the vet's office sees this sort of thing all the time - they can't devote the time and effort to save all the dogs in need. Please help if you can! You need to take the puppy to the vet to make sure she does not have whip worms. She could have an infection. It's better to be safe than sorry.

adopters. If the wardens truly thought he was a danger to people, I
have absolutely NO doubt whatsoever that he would have been euthanized
