I lost a fairly young bitch because someone in the neighborhood tossed
her a plastic ball ... it was small enough to fit completely in her
mouth. Hard enough that when it was crushed it produced a very jagged
end but soft enough that she could crush it .... and swallow it. The
jagged end cut where the intestine connected to the stomach ... and in
such a way the surgery just couldn't fix it.
