Oh YEAH! We were just having that conversation this morning! We are up for
breakfast and work every day at 6AM. Except weekends. And, funny, it is
ALWAYS me. My husband can and WILL sleep through ANYTHIGN on days he does
not have to work. So, when the dogs wake, the just either pretends not to
hear them beating on the door in the daughter's bedroom (Daughter also
sleeps though this ruckus) or actually does not hear them. so, I get up and
take them out. They have to pee at 6AM but, they don't eat until 7AM. So, I
take them out (and in Dec it can be a bit chilly, I don't even want to think
about northern climes) and I have a chance to grab a bite and brush my
teeth. But, by 7, they have to eat. No matter<G>
Never fails, no day missed. Holidays, weekends, sick days, does not matter.
And does not make a difference to hubby, either.

Subject: [boxer lovers] Alarm clocks...and other weird behaviors
How many of you sit bleary-eyed at the computer or kitchen table while your
alarm clock is feasting??? It doesn't matter if your sick, went to bed late
or any other excuse, my fur-kids insist on being fed at the butt-crack of
dawn, and are not shy about getting my attention. Many a morning I have been
awakened with a paw or two to the chest or face (try explaining that black
eye!).
When we got our first boxer, as an adult rescue, we were told best to feed
the twice a day. Okay, we thought. We'll feed them in the morning and in the
evening. Little did we know that they are such accurate time-keepers. And,
being in the Pacific time zone is torture twice a year when the clocks
change! Since we are up rather early during the week for work it seemed
easiest. Now, seven years later, and they still don't want to let me sleep
in on Saturdays or Sundays!!! Why???!!!
Oh, and don't get me started on the evening ritual, omgosh! But, we love
them and put up with all the silly-ness because they are wonderful, loving
creatures!
So< what are some of your dogs' most annoying habits????
