Nope, she didn't explain the difference between 2 meds. I guess I will have to see the list of the side effects myself. For both meds.
She said that surgery is the only solution and that we might need a radiation after that. The surgery will have to reconstructive considering the spot. I know it's graphic, but I've attached the picture of the one that bothers me the most. However, the other one on her leg is the same tumor, just smaller at this point.
I cannot express enough how much I don't want her to go for surgery. Maybe it's just me being paranoid. Possible. But I'm not happy with the idea, UNLESS this is the way to go. I asked if we can do surgery in january and do treatment till then. The answer was that the tumor might start growing back. Reasonable to me because It has grown quite a bit for the past 2 weeks.
I have to call and make appointment with the surgeon (who is "one of the handful in the country"), so I should be thinking we are in good hands.
I DO NOT DOUBT DOCTOR"S DIAGNOSE, NO. But with the ultrasound results and information I received here hard to believe that surgery and radio therapy are our only solution.
